How members use this space
Aquatics at Mount Pleasant — built for training, recovery, and real-life luxury.
At most gyms, a pool is just “nice to have.” At Razor Sharp, it’s part of the plan.
The Plunge is our Mount Pleasant aquatics center with salt-water lap swimming and a warm therapy pool—built for conditioning, recovery, and days when you want a workout that feels better on your body. It’s a touch of luxury you’ll actually use, because it helps you train consistently, recover smarter, and leave feeling better than when you walked in.

Lap Swimming (Salt-Water Lap Pool)
This is the simplest, most underrated weapon for fitness: steady work that builds a serious engine without beating you up. Whether you’re a former swimmer or you’re just looking for a joint-friendly way to stay sharp, the lap pool gives you space to train with purpose.
Use it for:
- Low-impact cardio that still challenges your lungs and legs
- Technique-focused sessions (better breathing, better efficiency)
- Active recovery days when you want to move—but not grind
- Structured swim workouts (intervals, pacing, endurance)
Best for: building conditioning, protecting your joints, staying consistent year-round.
Swim Lessons (Youth + Adult)
Whether you’re learning from scratch, getting your confidence back, or sharpening your skills, our lessons meet you where you’re at—and help you level up fast.
Options include:
- Private + semi-private lessons
- Beginner to advanced instruction
- Adult-focused coaching (technique, efficiency, endurance, and goal-based progression)
Great fit if you want to:
- Learn to swim safely and confidently
- Improve stroke mechanics and breathing
- Train for a triathlon-style goal or performance milestone
- Help your child become comfortable, capable, and strong in the water
Best for: confidence, skill-building, and measurable progress in and out of the pool.
Great for: mobility + recovery, stress relief, posture, improving movement quality, feeling “reset” without being sedentary.
Therapy Pool Sessions (Salt-Water Therapy Pool)
This is where The Plunge becomes a true “luxury that works.” The therapy pool is warm, supportive, and perfect for recovery, mobility, and low-impact movement that helps you feel better and move better.
Use it for:
- Recovery days that actually speed up your comeback
- Gentle movement when your body feels tight, stiff, or stressed
- Mobility work that’s easier on joints and lower back
- Post-lift reset sessions when you want to leave feeling loose again
Best for: stress relief, mobility, recovery, and staying on top of aches and tightness.
Great for: posture support, back resilience, lifting performance, anyone who wants a stronger, more stable midsection.
Aquatic Fitness Classes
These aren’t “easy water workouts.” They’re smart, low-impact sessions that challenge your conditioning, strength, and stamina—without the pounding of traditional cardio.
Class options include:
- Therapeutic Fitness: joint-friendly movement, range of motion, and controlled strength
- Deep Water Fitness: higher intensity with flotation work + underwater running drills
- Pool Party (45 minutes): multi-level water-resistance conditioning that’s fun and effective
Best for: conditioning without joint stress, variety in training, and workouts that leave you energized—not wrecked.
Great for: stress relief, cardio that doesn’t feel boring, energy, confidence, total-body conditioning.
Why Salt-Water Matters
Let’s be real: that harsh “pool smell” and eye sting is what turns people off most gyms with pools. A salt-water system helps create a steadier, more consistent swim environment—often meaning:
- Less of that harsh indoor-pool vibe
- Smoother-feeling water
- A more comfortable experience for skin, eyes, and hair (for many swimmers)
Quick honesty note: salt-water pools are still safely sanitized—it’s just a premium way to do it.
